Because of the need to manage posse flow, we cannot accommodate shoot-throughs. However if there are enough shooters to necessitate morning and afternoon relays, it may be possible to assign a shooter to both a morning and an afternoon posse on the same day.

*Interested in being a Vendor? Here is the Vendor application form for 2012.  Questions? Email the Vendor Wrangler for details & signup. Other Calif events you may be interested in as a vendor.

  1. Did onyone find 2 shotgun shell belts after the state match??? poncho sin lefty lost them. He called me to find out for him. If they are found he wants me to send them to him.
    Thanks
    Wayne Yarbrough

  2. 2012- What a great shoot! Our first but not the last visit ot 5 Dogs Creek. One super shoot.

  3. Or possibly the MAD dogs. There’s plenty of them gonna be there!! Next year we otta have all the Mad Dogs, Mad Trappers and all other
borderline insane people on one posse. Oh wait, that would probably take more than one posse huh. Just an idea.

  4. Hey Mad Trapper… You said “Shoot With the Big Dogs”, don’t you mean Shoot With the BAD Dogs?

  5. To those wondering about the round count: it is stated in your confirmation letter. Now I’m worried, did you not get a confirmation letter from me?
Please email me at mayor5dogs@yahoo.com and let me know okay? Round count is for 12 stages, 120 pistol, 120, rifle, 50 shotgun but remember we have a lot of side matches, plus some may have to Shoot With The Big Dogs on Sunday morning.

Now to Anonymous> – – if you contact Sunshine Kid (again see email address in confirmation letter) I know she will happily provide you with a list of those who will gladly serve you and appreciate your business.

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS TO GO … YAHOOOOOOOO

  6. I was wondering if we had a list of vendors??? So we can save some money to help support our vendors.

  7. Well now, it sure is good to hear and read all the favorable comments about our shoot. Hope you can make it Monterey Kid, (by the way my old 97 is still blasting away). Major Payne, side matches start early if yer shootin’ long range but main match shooting starts at nine. We have a terrific plan for a great shoot, now all we need are for you cowboys and girls to send in your registrations. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to write me at mayor5dogs@yahoo.com If I don’t have the answer I will find it or make one up. MTRR

  8. HEARD THIS WAS ONE HELL OF A SHOOT, EVEN THE BEST CALIFORNIA HAS TO OFFER! HOPING I CAN GET THE TIME OFF TO JOIN UP.
    MONTEREY KID

  9. Calling out all you “Bad Girls of Five Dogs” for an outlaw portrait at Bay ten on Thursday afternoon after side matches. Also looking for some cowboys (willin’ to be gently restrained of course) This will be a FUN ‘shoot’ I promise – or my name isn’t Doubleshot Darlin!

  10. Hi,
What are the start times each day? Did I miss those? I came last year. What a blast:)

  11. I had a great time there in 2011, so much that the Northern Nevada Gang is going to ride across the border to burn powder
and sling lead down range with you all in 2012, shoot fast, shoot straight and be safe.
